Kids’ Sci-Fi Afternoon Tea

Wow your kids with sugary Sci-Fi treats at The Ampersand Hotel, as they are now hosting a kid-friendly version of their famous Science Afternoon Tea inspired by the Science Museum of London. The menu features inventive bites, like dinosaur biscuits, rocket cheese straws, chocolate spacemen and crunchy “fossils”. All items are jewelled neatly on a rocket-shaped stand, with a surprise of dry ice shooting out from the bottom—all the better to fire your kids’ wild imaginations. Price is £35 per child. 

The Royal Afternoon Tea

Dive into an extravagant royal afternoon tea inspired by the historical drama series ‘The Crown” at The Milestone Hotel. The tea set is filled with delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream and homemade preserves, éclairs, tartlets, cupcakes, and macarons. There will also be a kids’ version of the tea set, featuring mini sizes of all the goodies, plus a choice between milkshake, hot chocolate and soft drinks. The Royal Afternoon Tea is priced at £145 for two adults and £33 for a child. 

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea

For kiddos who fancy an adventure into a whimsical candy factory of Willy Wonka, this “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” afternoon tea at The One Aldwych Hotel delivers just that. 

There, a copious amount of multicoloured cakes and pastries come perched on a rustic wooden box, along with plates of creative savoury bites and spooky teapots with smoke fuming out. 

The afternoon tea is served on Wednesday to Friday, from 12 pm to 3 pm, while on Saturday and Sunday, it’s from 12 pm to 4 pm. Prices are £52 for adults and £35 for children under the age of 12. 

The Wizard Afternoon Tea 

Take your children on a magical quest at this interactive afternoon tea session, where they learn how to cast spells and brew beguiling concoctions with a potion master. After selecting their magic wands, kids will be led to an interactive workstation and unlock the puzzle chest, which contains various magical ingredients to make their desired drinks. To top this fun experience off, kids will get to enjoy their drinks with artful sweet treats and “sand-witches” that are stacked high on a towering tiers cake stand. Price is £32 for children under the age of 11. 

The Grandest of Afternoon Teas

To commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign, The Savoy is hosting an elaborate afternoon tea inside the hotel’s charming glass-domed atrium. Options for the afternoon tea menu include traditional, vegetarian and vegan. Each comes with a great selection of sandwiches, pastries, Savoy’s signature cakes and tea varieties. Guests will also have their choice of 2 exclusive sparkling wines from Nyetimber. Prices range from £65 – £105 per person.
