Every March, the world observes Women’s History Month, a time to recognise the achievements, creativity, and lasting influence of women across industries. The celebration also includes International Women’s Day on 8 March, which shines a global spotlight on the contributions of women shaping culture, business, and design today.
In the spirit of the occasion, we’re marking the month with a special #RadarList that highlights remarkable hotels imagined by women whose creative vision defines the experience from the ground up. From one destination to another, these properties reflect individuality, thoughtful intention, and a strong sense of place, reminding us that memorable hospitality often begins with a distinctive point of view.

Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort
Reimagined on Hawai‘i’s Kona Coast, Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort returns as a serene retreat set across lava-carved landscapes and breezy Hawaiian hale.

The interiors are shaped by Nicole Hollis (the visionary behind NICOLEHOLLIS), whose design brings an elegant yet earthy sensibility to the resort, blending natural textures with a calm, contemporary spirit that reflects the island’s surroundings.

Boca de Agua
Hidden among the lush greenery of Bacalar, Boca de Agua feels less like a hotel and more like part of the jungle itself. Designed by Mexican architect Frida Escobedo, the property features elevated treehouse-style villas built around living trees, allowing nature to remain untouched below.

From the Jungle Treehouse to the Master Pool Treehouse, each stay invites guests to slow down, breathe deep, and settle into the rhythm of the surrounding forest.

COMO Point Yamu
Overlooking Phang Nga Bay from Cape Yamu in Phuket, COMO Point Yamu wows visitors with picture-postcard views and visually pleasing interiors imagined by Italian designer Paola Navone.

Known for her bold and playful style, Navone brings together breezy blues, turquoise tones, and patterned tiles balanced with crisp whites, creating a lively seaside atmosphere that feels contemporary while echoing the island’s setting.

Passalacqua
Set along the shores of Lake Como, the historic slash iconic villa of Passalacqua has been thoughtfully brought back to life under the direction of Italian hotelier Valentina De Santis.

Leading the restoration alongside her family, De Santis guided the interiors with great care, weaving silk, frescoes, and ornate details into a romantic retreat that celebrates Italian craftsmanship and the art of slow living.

Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong
In the heart of Hong Kong’s Central district, Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong offers a sleek urban hideaway shaped by the vision of designer Joyce Wang.

Her interiors blend sculptural forms, layered textures, and a modern edge, giving the hotel’s 111 rooms and suites a calm yet stylish atmosphere amid the city’s constant buzz. The property is also known for its exceptional dining scene, home to acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurants that draw gourmands from across the city.

Loire Valley Lodges
Hidden within a vast woodland in Esvres-sur-Indre, Loire Valley Lodges offers a stay where art and nature quietly intertwine.

The concept was brought to life by co-founder Anne-Caroline Frey, whose creative vision places contemporary art at the heart of the experience with each of the 18 suites imagined by a different artist. Architect Isabelle Poulain designed the elevated wooden lodges to blend gently with the surrounding forest, using natural materials and open views that invite the landscape inside.
