Checking out new restaurants to us often feels like checking out new cities; it’s reminiscent of stepping into a new territory where unknown – and delicious – wonders await. That’s what makes it so fun and exciting.

And it seems like the past few months Singapore has welcomed a repertoire of new restaurants and cafes to its vivid dining scene. With cool-new concepts and diverse cuisines to wow discerning diners, these new venues really get us foodies excited – if not salivated – over their scrumptious offerings. Here’s our roundup of some of the new eateries in Singapore that should definitely be on your radar next time you visit the Lion City.

Mr. Holmes Bakehouse

For croissant connoisseurs, the famed San Francisco-based bakery Mr. Holmes Bakehouse now fuels the city of Singapore with their iconic dessert, cruffin – a beautiful marriage of croissant and muffin filled with luscious cream in different flavours. The venue also offers a range of pastries and desserts, spanning doughnuts, croissants, sweet buns, danish pastries, bostocks and cookies.

Wunderfolks

Wunderfolks is a tart maestro; the venue is all about house-made, from-scratch tarts filled with a vibrant variety of creams and fillings. They deliver islandwide and diners can pick the small size perfect for one or the large one perfect for a big crowd.

Boeuf

The newly-opened bistro, Boeuf offers a succulent selection of beef-focused dishes. Here, beef is put in the limelight and is cooked with intention and traditional techniques. Like your meat raw? Opt for the Tartare and Carpaccio made with 200+ day grass-fed beef. And if you like it cured, then the Board with cured, dried and smoked beef should be your move. Their signature items also include cinnamon-infused Short Ribs that have been slow cooked for 16 hours and charcoal-grilled Asada Ribeye.

OSTERIA BBR by Alain Ducasse

For fine dining lovers, the name Alain Ducasse is surely no stranger. With a collection of over 30 restaurants around the world that boast a total of 20 Michelin stars, Mr. Ducasse now opens another fine culinary establishment in Singapore. Nestled within the Raffles Singapore, OSTERIA BBR led by the Italian-native Head Chef Francesco Soletti showcases the vibrant tastes of Italian Riviera through an array of humble dishes touched with fine Ducasse-style flair – think antipasti, pizza, pasta and traditional Italian sweets.

Clan 7 Chinese Restaurant

The food at Clan 7 Chinese Restaurant by Chef Dee Chan is his contemporary translation on traditional Chinese cuisine. So expect to find your favourite classics with drool-inducing twists like the Sichuan-style Marinated Chicken, Chinese Roast Platter, Signature Thick Fish Maw Broth and more.
